Homemade Coconut Milk

Prep Notes


  • 1 cup shredded unsweetened coconut
  • 2 cups filtered hot water


  1. Place coconut and water in a blender and blend on high for 3 minutes.
  2. Filter your mixture through a nut milk bag or a cheesecloth.
  3. Store in the fridge.
  4. Shake well before each use.

Tip for use:

* If you are using this coconut milk for cooking in a soup, stir fry, curry, as a substitute for heavy cream, etc... I recommend not filtering it through a nut milk bag to contain the thick consistency but for using it for drinking purposes, stick with filtering it through a nut milk bag.
